Very efficient way to learn C++!
This course is pretty cool and gives me a good understanding of C++.
A nice course introducing C++ from scratch. At the end, I am able to develop and use some classic computational finance applications in C++.
The quality is great. It would be better if more instruction on the mathematical understanding of the application of C++ on computational finance is provided.
I would comment highly of this course because I really learn a lot from this course. I think it will help me a lot in the near future.
The course met my expectations and provided me with the C++ knowledge required to get into a prestigious MFE, which is my end goal. Additionally, I would like to thank Avi and Gong for their attention, help and patience throughout the course.
Basically I think it is good enough.
It is definitely worth taking this online course. The content of this course is rigorously and carefully tailored, covering all the basic concepts regarding OOP together with meaningful hands-on applications, and is specifically targeted on financially engineering, which is different from other courses simply focused on C++ programming. Asides from the course content, the learning experience is also fulfilling. TAs are really helpful and always willing to help me and the forum for this course also makes it possible for me to discuss whatever I am curious about with the instructor, TAs and other students who are also taking the course.

This course absolutely meets my original goal. Before taking this course, I knew nothing about the object-oriented programming. Through this fulfilling experience taking this course, I have established deeper intuitions towards not only OOP but also financial engineering.
Great and challenging course!
This program has fessional and reasonable curriculum design. I think it did meet with my original goal.
I think it’s great but hope to get more applications in FE
The Course was an absolute beast from the get go. Prof. Daniel Duffy and the brilliant folks at Quantnet have constructed a brilliant course that starts from the very basic of C/C++ programming and continues to the application of C/C++ on Computational Finance. The TAs for the course, Avi Palley & Team were superb in guiding students throughout the course. The TAs and the forum will be your shining light as you try to traverse this maze called C++. I came into this course with absolutely no idea about C++ Programming. But now I am confident enough to start the Advanced course offered at Quantnet. This course and hopefully the completion of the Advanced course will aid in increasing my understanding of C++ Programming and it's applications to Computational Finance.
The course is well designed. The sample codes and instructions in homework help me to undertand the concepts step by step. Compare with the C++ courses from other platforms, this course is featured for the advanced concepts in Boost and financial applications, which are useful for MFE students.
The course is really helpful!
My original goal is to know more about C++ and it meets my goal. This course asks me to finish the programming from basic to more advanced version on my own.I benefited a lot through it. Besides, the forum is really helpful. It solved a lot of my questions. Thanks so much for this course and teaching assistants!
This is a very hard course. I need to treat it very seriously in order to get a good grade. I am very thankful for the availability of the forum, which is very helpful for understanding the course content and homework. It meets my original goal for taking this course.
This course is great. I want to further my study in financial engineering. This course meets my goal.
It is a wonderful course with clean structure and logic.
As someone who has taken C++ as well as a number of other programming courses in college, I have to say that this is by far the most comprehensive programming course I have taken. It touches all bases from theory to practical programming advice and financial applications. I also have to commend the TAs for being responsive and offering great feedback.
I really enjoyed the intensity/challenge in this course, and I think the HW is easy to follow and self-explanatory, even as someone who has minimal programming experience. I'm very impressed with the design of the course that I was able to learn more in a single month than in a 4-credit introductory programming class.
