Yes, the course was structured really well. The TA's were prompt with their responses and explained doubts well. I found the forum a great place to ask questions and get doubts answered.

This course is well-organized and covers most important topics, I really learned a lot. My TA's feedback is immediate and concise, which makes the learning experience even better. The forum is also amazing, it has a bunch of discussion that could solve most problems I met with.

Finishing the course gives me a fundamental and thorough knowledge of C++ and I am glad that I put a lot of effort into it and make it to the end, since this is really rewarding.

the course contents are very well designed to help introduce C++ to a beginner. 9 Levels of study material is carefully structured, which gradually shows the beauty of C++ and object oriented programming philosophy. The homework questions are very well written, which target the key knowledge points precisely and hence effective teach student 'by example'. The online quiz questions are well-thought too. TAs are easy to approach, respond to questions in a timely manner and are able to explain very clearly.

Very good course as an introduction to C++ programming, especially for people with no prior programming experience. The lectures and notes are very helpful. The professor is very knowledgeable in this area and the TA is helpful. Definitely recommended for anybody who is interested in MFE and computational finance.

I was very interested in programming, especially in c++. And a summer camp trip to Baruch MFE also intrigued me. This course, with detailed introduction and well design structure, provides me what I expected, and I am grateful to the lecturer and TAs for the knowledge.

This course contains many topics about basic C++ language, C++ boost and C++ applications in financial engineering, which is really useful and rich in content for a starter in financial engineering. The materials were detailed and accurate, with professor's clear explanation. As I went through the materials, the quizes and homework could remind me to pay attention to details that I could ignore. Also the forum provided great help. Searching for other's questions and TA's answer helped me solved a lot of problems. Thanks to TA's answer to my personal questions and other students' questions, I could correct my bugs in HW!
Acquiring C++ language is helpful for my future study in financial engineering program. It meets my goal for taking this course.

The course perfectly meets my need for C++. Through this course, I learned so many basic and advanced methods of C and C++, which will be helpful for both my future study and work. The quality of the course is good, it is well-structured for beginners. Also, the video and slides are abundant enough to grasp the knowledge and TA is very helpful.

The course quality is very high in my opinion. I have learned a Python course before, but I only learned some syntax in it. However, this course not only give me the syntax knowleage, but also many programming ideas and Quantitative Finance knowleage that can be used in other language as well.

My expectations were fully met. I entered into this class to fulfill the programming requirement of MFE applications and have been admitted to a top program due significantly (I think) to having this course and it’s reputation on my resume. This course has taught me how to think through coding problems logically and allowed me to broaden my skill set, both of which I appreciate wholeheartedly. The forums quantnet provided were extremely helpful and I learned a lot from my peers while working through the exercises.

the course was very complete. I did earn a good knowledge about C++ programming, and i undestood how C++ pricing methods are implemented.

Vedios could be updated for new c++ features. Some useful feature like constexpr are not clearly teached

First of all, I think it is very useful for me and meets my original goal. Every level of the course is designed with very clear purpose, so I think everyone can learn something from the course, particularly those without any foundation of programming.

It's my first time to take an online programming course. The learning experience is impressive with all of the materials, coding exercises, TA's insightful comments and fellow discussions on the forum. Actually, I know nothing about C++ before, but the design of the course enables me make progress step by step and now I am familiar with the idea of object-oriented programming. It is worthwhile to take this course for a C++ beginner.
