Hey everyone! I'm a sophomore math student who's super keen on becoming a quant. But I'm having a tough time getting some practical experience under my belt at this stage. Any suggestions for activities that are more suitable for us early year undergrads? Or should I just kick back and focus on learning more advanced topic on my own?

I haven't yet started these two books (but I am picking up the second one from one of my professors tomorrow morning), but they are recommended for those starting out in the Master Quant Reading List. The first is supposed to be the best starting place for those with around the level of mathematics that you should have, though you may or may not have the calculus based probability portion. I'm also a sophomore, and this is what I'm about to start doing.
