Title looks funny "China's ghost city". Just watched the video fully. Really interesting question raised: how to maintain such economic growth rate.

That is really disturbing. The first thing I thought about when I saw this was social unrest. Millions of empty homes and millions of people unable to afford them.... something is deeply wrong.

It's a communism style make illusionary prosperity. Among billion and a half Chinese great proportion (mainland of China) is poor and 64 million vacant places are being built (as it says in the video, 10 cities a year). << This is deeply wrong.

The apt for sale shown to this reporter in the middle of the video clip is $300K and requires 50% down payment. Wow.
