Hi everyone. I'm currently going into my last year in UofT undergrad, in the finance and econ specialist . My first year performance was horrible and it significantly affected my cgpa . I was wondering what my chances are to get into the UofT MFE program or queens MFE program? What could i do in my last year to improve my chances? here are some of my key takeaways:
CGPA; 3.22 (my gpa for my last 3 years is 3.64 while my gpa for my major is 3.34 which is also lower due to the impact of my first year required courses)
I've done well in all of my upper year econ courses (3.7 in all of them except stats)
I'm doing alot of extracurricular stuff (finance related training/competitions)
I completed the canadian securities course (doesn't mean much) and am enrolled in the CFA Level 1 exam in Dec.
I don't have a lot of work experience but I'm currently doing a decent summer internship with some finance exposure
I'd really appreciate any honest opinions
