Goodmorning to everyone,
my name is Luca and I am an Italian student who is going to start the Msc in Quantitative Finance at Eth for the year 2011-2012.

http://www.msfinance.ethz.ch/

I am trying to plan my schedule (at least for the fall term) and I want to choose the right courses to prepare myself for an hypothetical quant career.
As usual, in this course we have a list of ten core courses and another list of elective courses, and basicly there is a subdivision between Mathematical for finance courses (MF) and Economic Theory for Finance (EF) courses, and we must acquire at least 9 credits for both from core courses and at least 9 credits for both from elective courses. Then, we are free to reach the total of 60 credits choosing whatever we want. Excluding some obvious choices among the first list, like Financial Engineering, Mathematical foundation for finance and Computational PDE Methods for Finance , I have some doubts about the EF list. I want to acquire strong mathematical skills (I have a msc in applied mathematics) but I don't want to discard important courses from the EF list. Could you give me some advice?
Thanks for the help in advance, Luca.
