Do MFE students recruit for summer analyst or associate internships?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if MFE students mainly recruit for summer associate or summer analyst internships at the banks? I am looking at s&t / global markets programs (not purely quant roles) and have seen individuals place at both levels. Is it solely a matter of age/yrs of experience prior to the mfe?

Nah I think it's just a matter of what the banks want to call the roles.
