Hi,

Does anyone know the weight that different quant programs place on the verbal and analytical writing sections of the GRE? I've recently discovered I won't be able to reschedule my test and am therefore pressed for time. Is it worth studying for the verbal and analytical writing section at all?

Thank you

Same doubt,

How much can a bad score in verbal section compromise the admission although a good quantitative section and a decent TOEFL (~105)?

If your overall profile is good, i don't think an average score in verbal section should be a problem. i would say try and get 150+. (tracker shows people who have got in with 148-149 as well.)

Not sure if 105 in toefl can "compensate" for a bad score on GRE verbal. Most good schools in USA have 100 as the cut-off criteria. Again it depends on the school you'll be applying to.
