Ok the world of schooling is about to change. If you have an iPad - sell it. I have been dreaming for a toy like this for a long time. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Basically? A 1lb sweet tablet with a Wacom digitizer so that you can take excellent notes in college, on the road. Awesome for graphics folks as well.

No.

Why spend $3000 for a very solid laptop when I can get one for $1000? But thats not the point of this thread.

Point is I think writeable tablet are awesome but I understand why people have been avoiding them:

1) Not suitable laptop replacements so you need to pay for a laptop as well
2) Not "cool" looking
3) Moderately heavy (3lbs + charger)
4) Expensive
5) Terrible battery life

But now you can just get a cool cheap lightweight tablet and get all of the huge benefits of tablet note taking along with it (+ a full day of battery life as well). Sweetness!

The entire Galaxy series is getting a design overhaul. Once they have some extra time on their hands they are making it high-res and a quad-core.
