I am an international undergraduate student at Columbia school of general studies. I would like to get some suggestions to become a quant.

My current major is mathematics-statistics and I have learnt basic knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, probability, stochastic process, optimization, real analysis, data structure, python/C++/matlab programming. I am going to find my first quant intern in summer of 2024 in USA. I have some questions and I would be really grateful that someone in this forum could answer my questions.
1, Is Columbia SGS competitive when applying for quant intern in USA?
2, Do I need to attend the combined plan of Columbia SEAS to get another engineering degree of financial engineering?
3, I am a transfer student. Do I need to write down the education background before transferring to Columbia, which may make me less competitive?

Hey, I am in a similar position that you were in when you posted this. Were you able to have any luck finding an internship?
