My undergrad was in physics and am currently halfway through my MSc in Financial mathematics (predicted distinction)( course also contains a fair amount of coding in python,R,MATLAB). As apart of my course I have a 15 week project/dissertation on a topic of my choosing, i'm looking for some ideas that go quite beyond my current level and will be impressive to employers but also do able within the given time frame. Any suggestions from quants in industry will be very much welcomed.
