Independent Valuation Team at Barclays Capital

Anybody knows what's like to be a product valuation controller at Barclays? More focused on quant side or more on the accounting side? How's career path?

I knew a guy who used to work there as a product controller and according to what he told me the dept is more "accounting-skewed" than quant-oriented.

Do not really know about career path,sorry
