Is it appropriate to include HFT bitcoin project in SOP

I am writing my statement of purpose for MFE application. I am currently running a team with a focus on HFT market making in Bitcoin. Is it appropriate to include this in the SOP? I personally think Bitcoin has no economic value and I am afraid that the admission committee will not appreciate it.
