Since I am new to online trading (have only traded through a broker at my bank) I was wondering if there was a guide of some sort that I could use to get familiar with sites that offer this.

When I first started looking a found the website plus500.com which seemed to have it all. It had good explanations and assistance for all trades and made everything quite easy to understand. I tried a demo account that worked out well. I then started doing some research when trying to decide on whether to open up a real account, only to find out that the site was a scam.

I have of course heard of eTrade, which seems like a solid site to trade on.

Can anyone here give me some guidance since I am new at this. For example the fees that the sites charge. I see that eTrade charges apr. 20 USD per trade plus 1,5 USD per contract. Is this a reasonable fee? Can you recommend any other sites that are more price efficient?

What do I need to know before starting?
