Well, he is a headHunter. He and Paul Wilmott (a Quant and cqf founder) put together this booklet ( I have read the earlier editions) that tell you about the process of getting a quant type job: The desirable skills, level of education, interview process, recommended texts etc. Its cool. The only thing missing is a summary of average salaries and an explanation about whether something like an MFE is truly necessary.

Does he put it out on the web for free or is it something one is expected to buy :P

It was always free, but normally you could get it from Dominic directly in exchange for your resume. I'm not sure if Columbia has an agreement with him to place it on a public domain.

The version hosted on Columbia website is very old (1.95). The latest version (2.21 or something has been out for years)
I would be amused if they have an arrangement with Dominic but I have seen stranger things happen.
