I am an incoming FE candidate at one of the leading schools in the US. I have done my undergrad in Computer Science Engineering and have a work ex of 2 years. At the moment I feel I am not very well prepared to take the program and hence plan on deferring for the next 6 months and make sure I have gained a decent knowledge in Mathematics and programming. Will it be a wise choice to make?

Can you program in C/C++/Python?
And I reckon some more training in maths is probably needed, depending on what "Mathematics" you did..

I have some experience in Python. Talking about the math side of the thing, I can say I have basic level understanding. Do you think it is justified to take this 6 month break and prepare for it?
