Pre-Requisite Courses

I never was able to take the calculus-based probability course required for most MFE programs during my undergrad. I've looked locally and have been unable to find a course which would work with my work schedule leaving me online as my only recourse.

Does anyone know of a reputable online course which would fulfill the requirement for Baruch? I'm also looking to brush up on my calculus classes in similar fashion.

There is none that comes to mind. The online courses are either usually very generic or very specialized such as those offered by the MFE programs themselves that provide tailored training for MFE applicants.
For example, the calculus pre-MFE course at Baruch is taught based on materials from the Primer book. The probability is taught to prepare you for their stochastic calculus in the MFE programs.

I have seen MFE applicants ask about this course all the time but since it's a nice field, I don't see many main stream universities offer similar courses online. Maybe that will change soon.

Thanks for your response. Are there any pre-MFE courses that you would recommend online? I found one at Berkley which looks promising. Would a strong performance in these prep courses satisfactorily fulfill the pre-requisites for the MFE at Baruch and other similar programs in your opinion?

I have no first hand experience with their online courses but you can find some reviews from our members

I can't answer if those courses will meet requirements at other MFE programs. You should contact the other MFE programs directly for their input.
