Hello,

I am looking to apply for the Fall 2025 MFE/MS-CFRM/MQF programs, and I would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions to improve my profile. I am open to any advice that can help me enhance my chances of getting into top programs.

-Graduation: PSG College of Technology, 2022 Batch, Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering - 8.59/10 CGPA

-Relevant UG Coursework:
1. Mathematics I - (Calculus, Multivariate Calculus, Applications of Integrals, Vector Calculus, Analytical Geometry) - Grade B+
2. Mathematics II - (Linear Algebra, ODE, PDE) - Grade B+
3. Data Structures and Algorithms - Grade A
4. Probability and Statistics - Grade B+
5. Computer Programming (Python) Theory + Lab - Grade A and A respectively
6. Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - Grade B+

- Work Experience:
- 3 years by Fall 2025 as a Software Engineer at Société Générale, working with Spark, Python, Scala, and Hadoop to build big data reconciliation systems for credit risk decisions in the finance sector.
- Also interned with same financial technology firm.

- GRE: Not Planning to attempt , since most of the universities are Optional

-IELTS: Overall 7

- Publications:
1. Co-authored a paper on "Helmet Violation Detection Application using YOLO v3 Architecture."

- Certifications:
1. Credit Risk Modelling in Python

-Concerns:
- GPA is decent, but I am concerned about the competitiveness of my profile for top programs.
- Limited formal work experience in finance, though I have worked extensively with financial data in my role at Société Générale.

I would love any insights or recommendations to enhance my chances for top programs. Thank you for your time!

Looks good. Work on your essays. Learn more about the industry to be able to differentiate buy-side, sell-side firms, and where you see yourself. Learn the skills needed for each role. Work on the essays so it does not sound naive or ill-informed.
Which programs are you aiming for?
