Run Visual Studio using Parallel

Hi! I am new in this course, and I'm intending to purchase Parallel as suggested by a TA in order to use Visual Studio for Microsoft. However, there are various plans I can purchase (e.g. Standard and Pro Edition). I'm wondering is the Standard Edition for Students enough for this course?

Standard should be good. Pretty sure that is what I have, cheapest version.

I just bought the C++ certificate, and I am a Mac user. I tried all the ways according to what I found on the internet about running Visual Studio Code on my Mac, but so far, it gets very tricky and confusing and I was not able to run the first program.

I went to the through all the conversions about using parallels or Mac, is it that the right choice? would I be able to complete the whole course using parallels on my Mac? @APalley

Yes, you’ll be fine. I did it this way.
