Hi,
Just a little background about myself: I did my undergrad in engineering and has been working at a fintech company for about two years. My role is web application development so it is not completely relevant. I would like to become a quant developer but feel like I am lacking the financial background to do the switch.
My undergrad is BA in Applied Science, major in computer engineering.
I am applying for a master program in statistics. The grad courses should cover some math and applied stat like stochastic calc, applied probability in mathematical finance
I have also taken the CFA exam. Programming skills wise I am comfortable with Python and SQL, haven't touched C++ since graduated but should be able to pick it up.
What do you think that I should improve? Would the stat master help or shall I apply for something more quant related?
Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
