Strategy to solve Brain Teasers?

So as I prepare to face quant interviews, brain teasers have turned out to be a massive pain. Unlike other thinks (like leetcode, mathematical problems) brain teasers seem to lack a set of patterns or algorithms that could be used to solve them - making them difficult and annoying to solve. Any advise?
