I've recently gotten into Warwick for MSc Statisics and would like some advice on career progression from there onwards. My goal would be to pursue PhD in Statistics, preferaably leaning more towards Optimisation and Machine Learning. I was thinking whether based on my current scenario, should I like apply to Cambridge Part III after I'm done at Warwick and then work in the industry for a bit and then transition into PhD or like any other suggestions you guys have? I have additionally been exploring other PhD options, such as StatML offered jointly by Oxford and Imperial. How suitable would my degree at Warwick be, given the current aspirations that I have? Any advice would be appreciated :)
