I am a incoming postdoc at Berkeley Center of Theoretical Physics. My girlfriend is applying the UCB MFE program. I really hope my girlfriend can be admitted. I am thinking about writing an email to the director Linda Kreitzman to tell her our situation. Do anyone know that my email would help my girlfriend's application or would actually hurt it?

No, it won't help. You want to keep it professional and hope that your girlfriend would be admitted solely on her merits.

I am in the Columbia pre-MFE program and my professor even knows Linda Kreitzman and wrote her an email but I still got reject after first round interview. I think writing an email might help to land in an interview but the admission is still very competitive. But nothing hurts to try it. Good luck!
