Which is a better for getting into MFE: SG trading internship vs local pricing company

(Before I start, I live in Korea and I plan to go for MFE in the U.S. - apply to UCB at June, and

I think I may get to choose between the two:

trainee position at Societe General trading

or

derivative pricing department in a Korean company specializing in bond pricing & quantitative solutions


I know the second opportunity links directly to studying at MFE, but others around me say a trading internship at a European bank would be a good selling point in getting a job - thus raising my chances for MFE and afterwards.

Their point is that working at a local company won't be a very good thing in the eyes of international firms :)


I know that having some working experience is crucial for MFE, since it helps to get a job in the field afterwards (which is what really counts in the end), but I don't really have much information to base my choices on.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
