I think this course is wonderful. I learned a lot about c++.
I have learned a lot from this course. However, this course is a little bit easy for people with some C++ background. It would be better if more advanced level topics could be included in this course.
I've learned a lot through this course. At the very beginning, I was worried about whether I can handle this course. But with all practical materials and exercises, gradually, I found myself more skilled in C++ programming, especially in system design. Avi and GONG CHEN's help was amazing!
The course is valuable for understand C++. The TA provides enough support on every level. It meets my goal.
The course if of high quality. The topics are interesting and comprehensive.
It was much better than expected.
I found the material of this course to be top notch. It was initially challenging for me as I had not programmed in object oriented structure earlier, but that was exactly the point.
I would highly recommend Quant Net courses to my peers because of the incredible support, learning forums and course design.
After having learned so much during these past few months, I am thinking of enrolling in other courses here at Quant Net to further bolster my credentials, thus allowing myself to become more competitive in the job market.
I am also confident that this C++ course will strengthen my application for a Master's program which is my top priority in the upcoming months.
Overall good course as an introductory C++ course. I felt like the course had slight too much focus on C++ syntax and programming though (8 levels for C++ and 1 level for application in finance). Personally, I expected more practical applications of C++ in finance (maybe 5-6 levels for C++ and 3-4 levels for practical applications).
This course is exactly what I hoped for. APalley and all of the other TAs I interacted with on the forums were exceptionally helpful and generous with their time.
Good content: challenging tasks yet rewarding, clear explanations of the material and this was an all-in-one package overall. Thanks
I think I really learned a lot in this course, especially some practical application of c++ in financial engineering, which definitely meets my original goal.
This is a very great course. I think I've learned a lot throughout this course.
The class materials are very good, and the interaction on the forum makes the course even better to gain deeper understanding.
The course is very good and all the levels teach the knowledge you need to complete Level 9 as that is by far the most challenging level. I found the Quality very good, responses from TA's were generally very quick and the knowledge I've learned is a lot.
The course's quality is supreme. Lots of "scary" concepts become super clear after taking the course. There's a perfect balance between the depth and range of topics that been covered. After I finished it up, C++ is no long a scary, mysterious thing to me. It gets me going. And I want to dig deeper now, feel like c++ one day will be one of my strong hand when surfing the real world challenge.
This course is a valuable investment! Before that, I am a total finance person, who knows a lot of models but could only solve simple question under nearly perfect cases. After taking this course, I am able to apply my knowledge to real-world cases! Though suffered a lot especially with level 9 hw, I am touched when I see all codes running.
This course is top class, one of the best I have come across in terms of rigour. It had been long time since I had learnt C++ and I was looking to start from scratch and take it step by step and get the understanding of not only how but why, the best practices etc.
Lectures are very clear with notes and sample codes.
The forums are extremely helpful to solve the excercises, augment understanding, reading them makes you think and in process helps to get better.
I thought the course gave me a good understanding of C++ basics as well as practice which is my preferred way to learn.
I satisfied with what the course provides me. It is a great C++ intro class to let me understand its application in Financial engineering. Homeworks are pretty helpful to understand the key property of C++, and the final project is challenging but gives an intuitive way to learn the important theories and methods in Financial engineering. Also, TA and discussion board are really helpful. It solves many puzzles and forms a deeper understanding of materials throughout the course. Lastly, I am a novice in the quantitative finance world. This course is an excellent introduction course to show what this world looks like and what is kind of knowledge we should master. I am very glad about my decision to take this course three months ago.
Yes, this course taught all the necessary features of advance c++ programming. It really did help me learn all necessary elements of advanced features fo boost and STL.
