I graduated from a third tier school with a degree in finance and a 3.5 GPA. I have always dabbled with C++ and am a CFA level II candidate. I have taken an interest in Baruch's MFE program and am curious if where I got my degree from would prevent me from being looked at. I know I could score well on the GRE/GMAT with some prepping (650+). I am taking a lot of math classes through a local college's independent study program since I am a working professional. If I get A's in all of my math classes would my resume be decent or would the fact that I did not graduate from a reputable school exclude me from having a shot? I know you frown upon profile questions, but hypothetically would where the university is from make that big of an impact, all other things held constant?

Thanks in Advance!

Thank You for the quick response. I am unfamiliar with GRE scoring. I was attempting to refer to the GMAT.

You can also take the GMAT, for admission to the Baruch MFE. The average GMAT of the people we admitted last year was around 720.
