B's in the core math requirement classes

Do you need to have all A's in the following to get into MFE: Linear Algebra , ODE, Calc 3, and Probability? These are the only classes I have finished before I apply. No other math courses besided Calc 1 and 2 and Stat 1 and 2, which was a long time ago.

What if you have a couple or more B's in there?

There is no hard requirement that you have all A's in your math classes.

Thanks Carl. I know there is no hard requirement other than the taking and passing of the courses itself. I was just wondering if it's almost an unwritten rule that you need to have A's in the core classes. Sort of like needing to show the 800 in the math GRE to be considered as a serious candidate.

I think a more accurate unwritten rule would be: "If you don't have A's in your math classes, then you need to make up for it in other areas." The same would go for the GRE.

If you look at the mean GRE scores of admitted students for literally every program that publishes them, you will see the average GRE quant score is not 800.

But again Carl, I heard a very reliable source saying, "780 is good but 800 is better"
