Hello Everyones,
I am facing a dilemma. Can anyone give some advices?
I am now currrently studying a master program in Japan and will finish it end of this year. I am thinking about taking an MSFE course in US after graduation. I like maths very much (not so good at it though) that is the main reason. I have no idea about programming. I believe that the chance for me to get a job in Japan is much bigger than the chance to get the job in US even with an MSFE degree (Certainly, it is difficult everywhere now). On the other hand, I need a scholarship to study in US for sure.
Should I focus on improving my Japanese and searching for a job here or studying C++ as it is a prequisite for most MSFEs?
Any idea will be appreciated.

Dear Andy,
Thank you very much for your advice. It is obvious, isn't it. :). I tried to renew my life but actually, it is just ridiculous.

I don't know what you meant by "renewing" your life. Are you japanese? If not, how easy or difficult is to get a job in the japanese job market for a foreigner? You should take those things into consideration.

Dear Alain,
Thank you for your reply. I am also thinking about it.
I am not Japanese. For Japanese job market, the difficulty of getting a job depends mainly on Japanese level, especially in service field. Sometimes, the recruiters even do not require English capability at all. However, if you are a bilingual with one is Japanese ( off course, I am not :)), the chance to get a good job is nearly 100%.

If you are not good at math, and you have no programming experience, it would probably require a lot of work to get up to speed for an FE program. Not that learning Japanese is easy, it just seems like--given the current circumstances--you'll maximize your chances of getting employment by looking for jobs in Japan. Once your settled in, then you can look into taking programming classes, improving your math skills, etc. Just a thought. Good luck.
