I tried to search my question in the forums search because I am sure people may have asked before. If I want to get a quant job, what is more worth while to pursue on top of my MFE, a CFA or CHP? Please let me know you opinions. I be a desk quant(although I know that maybe very hard to get into). Also I will graduate this year, what do you guys think of the job market for Spring 12' ?

Well there are hiring freezes going on right now from what I've heard, so hopefully those will be over by Spring.

I've taken and completed the CHP curriculum with a specialization in quantitative portfolio management. Unfortunately, you'd be surprised as to how many hedge funds i've applied to for internships that didn't have a single idea of what it was. But at the same time it's unique because chances are not anyone you know directly would hold that certification. The CHP program doesn't take long to complete. I suggest that you take the CHP first, as it will also prepare you for CFA and then tackle the CFA. That's what i did.
