There were two duplicate checklists, and now, the last one disappeared.

I still have two checklists. Having only one checklist might indeed indicate something.

As noted earlier in this thread, the disappearance of the checklist in the application portal has been interpreted as a sign of a decision. However, analysis of past reports indicates that checklist removal has occurred for both accepted and rejected applicants. Therefore, while it suggests decisions are imminent, it doesn't definitively predict the outcome. The unusual timing, occurring earlier in March than observed last year, remains puzzling.

Idk why, but my application still shows both the checklists.

The change in number of checklists usually indicates a decision is made which is proved by situations of many other schools, for example, UCSD. I guess it is caused by some glitches on the frontend of the application portal.

I love how our members come together during this time of need to dissect minor changes in their application portal. We need more of this sense of collaboration and community. Together, we will overcome!
If you haven't added your Chicago application to the Tracker, please do.
I suspect Chicago may have the most 2025 applications on the Tracker but it will require all the members to put theirs in.

im an international student applying from India, I don’t have it.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but I just glanced through the 2024 tracker after the discussion about the "checklist disappearance"—most updates were rejections or waitlists. So, I am bracing for impact.

Didn't that occur around the end of March? I noticed the trend that acceptances are released first followed by rejections and waitlists based on the tracker (for UChicago; not sure about others). However, no one knows until one opens up the box. Let's wait a bit and see what happens

Interesting observation. I wonder what insights we can learn by analyzing the data on the tracker.
Maybe we then can show those insights to only members who have a tracker.
