Anyone else is applying to the program for Fall 2025? Only less than a handful so far this year.

I know everyone is joining a program at this point but I'm curious to know what happened to those with the Pending status as of August?
Did their status change to something else or we are still hanging as people are applying for Fall 2025?

I was waitlisted in May, and after a long wait time, I got a mail in early august saying there are no places left..

If it makes you feel better, you are not the only one put through this process. Hopefully some holidays cheers will bring your mood up.

Hi all, Just wanted to check what it is says for y'all after submitting the application under "Current Status" section. Mine says

Your application has been moved to review with the Faculty Committee. The Office of Graduate Admissions cannot give you an estimate on when you will receive your admission decision, but we want you to know that your application will receive careful consideration by the Faculty Committee. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis and you will be notified via email when a decision has been made.

where is the current status section? I don't see it on my end. For me it says:

Application Status for [name here]​

My application checklist says received for all rows including the video interview. Does it take sometime for current status section to appear after submitting the video?

I can see the current status section now. It took like an hour for me.

I think's you have 2 weeks from their deadline, this question was addressed in their FAQs section on the graduate programmes site, better to have a look over there once and confirm

"Thank you for submitting your application to Columbia Engineering’s Financial Engineering Master of Science program! We appreciate the time and effort you spent preparing your application. Your application is currently complete!

While we cannot give you an estimate on when you will receive your admission decision, we want you to know that your application will receive careful consideration by the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research faculty committee. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis."

Can anyone let me know what has usually happened in the past to applicants who receive this?

Just got this too. To me it seems it’s just a confirmation that all the required materials are submitted and there is nothing outstanding so it considered “complete” and ready for review.

I hope it's something positive. I noticed one person has updated their tracker to Accepted for Columbia MFE Program, I guess they are one of the early admits.

It's honestly more positive than negative I think. I'm pretty sure it means they just don't need anything else from you. Definitely better than not having a required document or material.

Yeap, the Tracker is extremely helpful for all applicants as you mentioned. It's made possible by members who willing to help the community by sharing their timelines.
So please help us out, do your part and add your applications to the Tracker. It could become much more valuable if every members take a few minutes to contribute.
