So can anyone confirm that no admit was given today?
As for the MSOR email, my take is that Columbia is constantly adjusting their intake in both pools (MSFE and MSOR) based on demand and yield rate so far.
If the MSOR yield rate is lower than expected, they will have to send some MSFE rejects to that program.
Despite what they told me yesterday, they have to do what best for them TODAY if that means sending more high quality applicants to MSOR.

Andy, is there any previous years data about the admission rate of the students who were redirected to MSOR program?

Then what does waiting list mean for this program? If admitted, that is fine. If rejected, no chance to MSOR?

How is it possible to have over 1000 applications, accept around 90-100 and say less than 20%? Am I missing something?

It is not an easy choice. But I do not think that we need to make a decision in a short time. We just need to update our alternatives till April!
