I think they will give a lot fewer admits this fall, which they also mentioned in their session. Apparently, a lot of students enrolled in the spring session, but I don't understand the program's selectivity. The program has around 60% acceptance rate in spring, which falls down to 25% in fall. This year it may fall down more. I find this highly unfair.View attachment 56237View attachment 56238
I think the acceptance rate might not be a good comparison, as the difference in number of applicants is staggering. I’d compare it with its own class, which does show an upward trend in Spring admits, as opposed to a stabilised or slightly downward trend in Fall admits - which does match with the program’s now current preference for Spring as a session, as it gives them time to prep candidates for internship season.

Yeah that is kind of a right take didn't think of it like that

Does anyone know what percentage of students receive interview calls and how many actually clear the interview? I need to make a calculated decision soon, as I have to apply for a loan and begin the visa process.

Most people should receive an interview call barring maybe 5%, which itself has only been a recent trend. Out of that, probably 25% get admitted.

Saying that 500 applicants are being interviewed is quite a stretch and an overwhelming number. I don't think it would be that high.
As of now, the tracker shows: 20 accepted, 12 rejected, 2 waitlisted, and 20 pending applications.

Last year, the final tally was 27 acceptances and 15 rejections, yielding an acceptance rate of around 64%, according to QuantNet.

If we assume a similar acceptance rate this year, we can expect around 35 total acceptances by the end of the cycle. Since 20 offers have already been reported, that suggests approximately 15 more acceptances might still be on the way—potentially coming from the pool of 20 pending and 2 waitlisted candidates.

That means roughly 7 out of every 10 of us in the remaining group could still receive good news. So let’s stay hopeful—there’s still plenty of reason to be optimistic.

I like how you guys dig through the public numbers on the Tracker and online to come to data-driven conclusions. This is what I would expect aspiring quants to do instead of relying on second hand guessing.

Some caveat on how the tracker data is finalized: if a tracker is pending for over a year and not being updated by the author, we will automatically mark it as rejection.
This mean out of those 15 rejections last year, there is a possibility some got admitted. This will increase the acceptance rate among QuantNet members higher than 64%.
The reported acceptance for GaTech last year is 32%. It's evident that our members are highly qualified and their acceptance rate is much higher than the average acceptance rate for the whole cohort. This is true for all programs represented here.
Currently, the Tracker shows that we have roughly 224 admits with 140 rejections over all. It's a 61.5% acceptance rate vs the ~30% average acceptance rate for GaTech.

I think @nkscb is right that there is reason to be optimistic for more acceptance in the coming days.

Sounds reasonable...if you see quality of application pending...almost 168 to 170 in Q and 3 to 3.5 GPA

Only issue is this delay will put international applicants in tight spot ...as they need to organise funds and visa

By the way, there is status prefixes on the top of each page showing how many applications still pending, waitlisted, etc.
Clicking on each of them will take you to the filtered search result page. It's refreshed as people update their trackers.

Andy ...is it possible for you to escalate to administration concerns of applicants on this delay

I do share your concern but only you as an applicant can demand action. Every program has its own timeline and procedure and no amount of email will make it run faster. I remember one of their recent web event that all applications need to be read by program's faculty. I imagine those professors can only read so many applications a day out of their busy life.
Are we past the deadline they mentioned they will release decision yet?

Yes we were told about the 15th March deadline which has passed. And there are no replies on any of the emails to the program coordinators both Laura and Malcolm.

Looks like they answered your call.
Yes Andy. Received the decision from Malcolm - Admitted to Spring 2026, rejected from fall 2025. Marked rejected in the tracker. I’m not sure whether waiting till spring 2026 would be worth it given I’ve already enrolled into NYU for fall 2025.

Atleast they have started rolling out the next batch of decision. That's encouraging. Makes me hopeful that more of us will receive the decision today.
