Using the data in the crisis, I didn't want to prove which program is better. As I said, it doesn't make any sense to compare top programs. I just wanted to say that the placement has little to do with the program itself (have already posted enough arguments.)
I think four years ago Columbia had better placement mainly because the quality of students at Columbia was better than CMU.
But recently with the dedicated efforts of CMU alumni through various channels(for example QuantNet) and B--School's culture of advertisement, many smart students were attracted to CMU. You guys have really done a very good job. I'm curious to see what will happen in the next few years.
