First and foremost I want to say that this site has been very useful in providing information about the MFE program.

I am a Filipino engineer working in the Philippines. I wish to pursue MFE studies because I want to shift from engineering to finance. I feel that I can use my analytical abilities more productively (read: get better pay) if I go to finance.

I wish to take my studies in the US but unfortunately I cannot afford the tuition. The only way for me is to take up a loan.

Do you know any university/college that guarantees a loan to an accepted applicant? I am a Filipino citizen and I prefer a loan with no US citizen cosigner.

Thanks.

First, welcome bancsy, you are now a member of the best forum one can ever find to discuss anything related to finance.

I dont know any specific loan schemes, but i would definetly want to ask you one thing.
If you are considering taking a loan, once you are in states, that is alright, i suppose.
But, bancsy if you are thinking about taking a loan while being in your home country, that is going to be difficult to find, firstly and MIGHT pose a problem in your VISA as well.
Infact i will start a new thread and inivte people to share their views.

i think in Baruch the loans for international students are very limited, but there are lots of on-campus jobs whichi help you finance ur tuitions and living expenses.

I looked up the local loans but I did not find any that could help. I intend to avail of a private loan in the US once I get accepted into a university there.

Thanks for the help.
