Risk management work
You might want to consider Risk Management work.
I would assume some of the Risk Management/Actuarial firms have a presence in
your geographic area. Firms such as:
Towers Perrin
Wyatt Watson Worldwide
Aon
Mercer.
After looking at their websites it seems they are involved in quite a few
"Financial Engineering" practices. Things other than traditional actuarial work.
Also, I assume they aren't as stressful as investment banks.
