I am interested in job opportunity in States, but I'm foreigner...
Could someone explain procedure for finding a job and getting visa.
Is that arranged by employer?

Btw, I don't have work experince except internship in Sanmina-SCI Inc.

Get a job offer from a US employer. They will file a visa and work permit for you.
It 's easier if you are already states bound; more tricky if you are oversea.
It may be more cost effective for employers to hire locally given the current market.

You probably will have to be better than us-based candidates for employers to bring you over. In this climate, unless you are world class researchers, scientists, mathematicians, a mere undergrad degree won't do.
Take a look at the UK scoring system, you may find it easier to work in London a few years and then transfer to US.

Thanks Andy, I appreciate your honesty.
But I asked: "What knowledge should have a good quant"?

Is matlab programming and excel enough, or C++ and Java are a must?
What is the most important about financial modelling, risk theory...?

Dude, make some effort to research.

I'm sure most of the answer to your questions should be in QN somewhere. Do a search on this site and you will find them.
