This year is especially difficult for grad school application bcz a lot of people deferred last year and many decided to go back to school due to the pandemic. So its exponentially difficult to get in. I kno someone from a top university in China 3.9 gpa 336 gre and hasn't got into any school yet

Same here - but I guess the interview doesn't count for as much as we thought

Yeah... I get how calling admitted students beforehand is a nice personal touch - but it just makes the rest of us really anxious. They should instead release all decisions online at once, and then send congratulatory calls to the admitted students...

Nope, rejected. In my interviewee meetup, I saw two other candidates from Latam. Maybe they got admitted? I don't really know
