MIT MFin MIT MFin Admission Discussion

Several people (I think at least 10) have been offered admission from waiting list last week, so...
How dif you Know about that? Do you think it is almost over? Should we contact the Admissions office to make them Know we are still encouraging?

I saw several guys show their admission on the forum, so I think MIT may already have enough students now or the possibility is very small for us now....

hi all

haven't been on here in a while. admitted off waitlist.

look forward to meeting everyone in a few months

how is your profile? are you an international applicant?

.Yes, I'm an intl applicant, but I've been in the US for sometimes now. Grad with a magna cum laude from a top business school in the NE region, been working for almost a year in the m&a function at a leading enterprise storage company. Had several internships in the past in banking, equity research, etc. Got published once. OK GRE range q 16x v 15x. Extracurricular: Head of Fundraising for a large student group in the NE area.

How abt you timsgsdgsdfgsdg?

All,

1) University of Cali, Berkeley (white collar dacoits)
2) Uni of St. gallen (dirt cheap tuition, but high cost of living)
3) Duisenberg School of Finance (50% schol given + the rest of the fees + living expenses to be funded by uni itself through loan from ING... in short I dont need to give/arrange a penny)
4) Frankfurt school of finance and management (reasonably priced but a 2 yr program - so i lose one yr)
5) Uni of melbourne (white collar dacoits + 2 yr program. However I am getting a post study work visa of 2 yrs after the course which means they cant kick me out)
6) European business school, germany admit (50% scholarship. Also cheap and arranges funds for student + there is the option of a dual degree from one of their 200+ partner institutes which includes the likes of NYU, Uni of Toronto, NTU,) HEC Lausanne, Oxford and so on)

Can you please advise which one I should choose

Hey does anybody received news about the waiting list status?
I know that the program is about to start so I guess we should consider that we won't join.

The MIT MFin application login server is down. It keeps giving me this message "
  • We are unable to process your login request at this time, please try again later or contact technical support."
Is anyone trying to apply? the deadline is tomorrow noon. I am so nervous

i'm sure their server is going through a maintenance or something. I think CMU uses same 3rd party for applications and it seems that CMU's server is down as well.

I'm sure the servers will come back up in the morning.

Anyone else got the interview invitation yet? And any advice from previous applicants?

I opted in for the lunch with MFin students before lunch, hope it's a good idea.

Hi, just received an invite to interview in person (non-US location). No where in the email was an alternative to interview by telephone/skype.

Does anyone (or Andy?) know whether MIT MFin has completely done away with telephone/skype interviews? This comes as a surprise to me as I really wasn't expecting to have to fly somewhere to interview.
