I am now in the phd program of financial math and wondering which area should I choose

Which one is more helpful for the quant job?

any comments is helpful

"Quant job" is a vague term. What do you want to do? What product you want to work on?
Then look for the current research on that product and see which technique is being used, most relevant, etc.
Things going in and out of fashion quick and you won't get much out of your PhD without having a good idea of your career plan.

why don't you try to learn something useful or interesting that you like? The job will sort itself later on. As Andy said, things change rapidly.
