Numerical analysis book?

I will likely be taking a numerical analysis class next semester, but it will be a theoretical class in the math department (due to a scheduling issue, I can't take the class offered by the CS dept) so I'm looking to learn NA applications through a more applied book. Any recommendations?

Numerical Analysis by Burden & Faires is a good mix of theory & application. I used it this term.
