I was recently admitted to Cornell ORIE for the Applied Operations Research concentration (not the MFE track), and I’m also considering NYU’s MFE program. I’m interested in quant roles post-graduation — either in trading OR research.
I understand that NYU MFE is very career-focused with strong placement in finance, while Cornell OR is more of a general OR/analytics degree with optional finance coursework.
Would love to hear any thoughts on how these two compare in terms of:
