Hi everyone,
Can someone guide me on what should I expect in the interview and how should I prep for it?

From what I heard, the interviewer, who is going to be an alum, has total discretion on what to ask you. So the technical questions are kind of unpredictable.

I have spoken to a Berkeley alum before. She got waitlisted during round 1 in 2022 then got admitted during round 2. So conversion is entirely possible. Although we dont have data on its probability.

I got interviewed just 3 days ago. But I know someone who interviewed earlier than me hasn't received a decision update yet. I am wondering if being waitlisted is a positive or negative sign. And could I know what should I do further to be accepted?

I had an interview before you and I havent heard back yet. I really dont know what to make of it as well.

This is what they replied today. I guessing decisions are rolling out, and I am probably rejected without an interview

I am seeing a lot of decent profiles on the tracker getting rejections across all programs. Comparing with admitted candidates of previous years, they have stats (GPA, GRE, etc.) that are fairly competitive.

I think the competition has just gone crazy this year.

I also got a preparation checklist that wasn't there yesterday. But I received no waitlist, and the checklist is completely empty. What does this mean?

I am curious if WL is a positive or negative sign compared to no feedback.

I’m assuming slightly positive because it appears that they have also given out direct rejections.

I think it becomes a matter of which candidates are willing to complete the checklist, so conversion is low in the sense that many accept other offers and give up on the checklist.

Their required books list

Deadline for all courses to be completed by Oct except the pre-program courses and instructions that they will reach out for updates regularly. Some of these classes I’ve already taken or even have a research paper on so I might ask to take them off the list.

I had a blank prep page in the dropdown without an accompanying email too for about a week, not sure if its correlated with my result though

Yes I had my interview on Feb1, no update yet

I had it a while back too....this doesnt usually happen according to the tracker.....people usually get some feedback within a week's time
