Hi everyone, are Baruch’s first-round interview invitations sent out in batches? I noticed some have received them already. If I haven’t received one yet, does it mean I won’t?

Thanks!

Has anyone received second-round interviews? I took Pre-MFE so I am still hopeful. Can Yall Please update here?
When did your First round happen?

When did you have your first interview?
I am imploring all applicants to put their applications in the Tracker to help yourself and all other fellow applicants to avoid this anxiety-filled period.

The Baruch website has listed few courses as Prerequisites [ Calculus, Probability, Linear Algebra, C++ and Finance ] - And only courses passed with a grade of B or better qualify as prerequisites.

I have a B- grade (in grading system A, A-, B, B-) for one of the listed courses. Should I apply or will I get auto rejected? Also I was planning to drop them an email but thought I should ask it here on the forum once.

Yes, apply and then sign up for their pre-MFE courses to address that. If you perform well in the course, it will matter more than the B- you got in college.
Their pre-MFE courses are designed for people like you: to refresh the knowledge and prove that you can handle intensive coursework to compensate for any weakness, especially low GPA or grades.

Never got an interview invite. I scored 8/8 on QBA and I am trying but having a hard time rationalizing this.

While I understand that QBA is just a part of the application, the Professor said that the higher your score the higher your chances of getting interviewed. Given that I was not interviewed after scoring 8/8, there could be many reasons but Its not like they ran out of seats.

A couple I'd like to point out.

They think the score is not reflective of how I will actually perform during interviews.
(They think I cheated, Bullshit! )
I have other gaps in my profile that disqualify me as a candidate.
(Bullshit again, I have shown I have math proficiency, everything is Math! If I can do good at math I can sure as hell do good at remembering some obscure finance formulas)

I feel bad but I don't have regrets, because I learned a lot through the process. But I am indeed having a hard time rationalizing why I did not get an interview invite. There are certain things I can change, like my knowledge levels, and problem-solving skills. But there are certain things I can't change, Like where I am from.
I've reached out to Professors at Baruch, but I don't expect them to reply given their tight schedules. What do yall think?

CS Bachelors, 3 years work exp, pre-mfe courses at Baruch and Uchicago, I find the math cool!

Your tracker is still pending so I assume you have not received an official rejection letter yet?
I can't talk to why you did not get an invite. Looking at the Tracker data, I find them very efficient with an average processing time of 39 days from submit to result.
What other programs are you applying to?
