Are batches made at random or are other people mostly rejected? There were no rejections today and people with admits who applied last day of R1.

I was curious about the Alpha scholarship - did they change the amount awarded from 60% to 40%? Looks like last year's admits got a lot more money.

I think they evaluate all applications that come before the deadline together so I don’t think the day someone applied affects the timeline of processing.

Last year, 46 acceptances were reported on the tracker across the two deadlines. This year in the first batch of acceptances alone, 18 acceptances have so far been reported.

More people need to add their timelines to the Tracker. Please do so if you have not.
I dont understand the hesitation to contributed to Quantnet when doing so will be so quick and yield more benefits to oneself and the community.
One can’t just benefit from the collective knowledge here without contributions.

Seems like they're giving out 30, 40, and 50 percent scholarships. I know the 50% scholarship is called Alpha+ this year.

This must has changed recently. This is what we have during last admission cycle on the overview page.
Alpha Scholarship recipients are offered a financial award in the amount of 60% of total tuition costs in 2023. Maroon Scholarship recipients are offered a financial award in the amount of 30% of total tuition costs in 2023.

Congratulations to everyone with an admit from Chicago. You guys have collectively received a $436,550 in scholarship amount so far, with $28,350 min, $47,250 max and $36,380 average.
This is an amazing achievement and a huge statement of the high calibre of our members.
The numbers will grow as more people receive admission and scholarship. I'll do a tally follow up.

In the past, I think they did. But I'm not sure for this year.
