This time I have not heard anyone that still got two checklists and received no news from the school except the second round people. I think it is a situation for everyone it's either rejection or wait list. With that being said, you shouldnt be pessimistic unless MSFM doesn't have any spots left for first round.

Today bought about waitlist and rejection. There are about 10 more pending applications on the Tracker so we will see how they turn out.

I think uploading anything, such as sample works for projects, that could appeal to the admission committee via the application portal may be the best move for now.

Any idea what's the deadline to pay deposit for the people who got admit in first batch (21st Feb), also is it different for people with and without scholarship ?

Seems no difference, even the second batch (28th Feb). All need to pay deposit before March 21st.

Is it usual to have about 16 waitlists in quantnet (for UChicago)? a very interesting outcome.

last year one person of the twenty or so on quantnet with waitlists was accepted... not to be a total downer lol
